“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” -Coco Chanel
Hello! Hope here! I just wanted to share with you a few of MY FAVORITE fall outfits!
I know it is typical for most to “save the best for last”, but my passion for this outfit outweighed the need for suspense. This stunning combination of the fur cheetah print vest with the sultry feel of the burgundy piko dress underneath earned a whopping 10/10 rating on my scale. As a woman, I have become well acquainted with the daily struggle of hiding my problem areas. Unfortunately for me, I can’t always get away with wearing an oversized sweatshirt and leggings to every event or occasion. This is where this outfit swoops in and saves the day or evening. (And my husband from having to look at me in my pajamas 24/7) I remember a time where I thought that being cute and comfortable at the same time was pretty much impossible.
It is outfits like these that offer people like me the opportunity to be striking and comfortable at the very same time. (shout out to piko dresses!) I absolutely loved wearing this. I sometimes find myself dodging pictures in certain outfits in fear of what imperfections the camera may show that even I don’t see, but being pictured in this ensemble….. I was hitting poses like Tyra Banks. I felt so confident, so posh, and so stylish. I was working with a beautiful dress that felt like I was wearing a nightgown, and a cheetah print vest that made me look like I was worth a million bucks! What more could a girl ask for? The high thigh boots I paired with this look were conservative in length, but offered seduction and playfulness in the heel. PERFECTION, is the only way to describe this outfit.
“Did she just say comfortable again?” Okay, yes… I take the most pride in outfits that I find are comfortable and adorable. Sue me! But this ultramarine blue sweater is Com…For…Tuh…Bull. I can’t be the only one that prepares for a date night and thinks ahead on what I’m going to wear to hide my jelly rolls or as I like to call it, the “O-Beast” that uninvitedly hangs over the top of my jeans after I finish eating and sitting in the passenger seat on the ride home. This sweater is the alpha Omega of fabulous looking belly fat camouflage. It is oversized, it is a unique and beautiful color, and yes I will say it again…SO COMFORTABLE! This sweater has the biggest most amazing belled sleeves that I have ever seen or worn. If I was feeling extra lazy or if I wore this sweater to say, Thanksgiving dinner, it is long enough to even pair with leggings.
The versatility of this sweater makes it a must have for the colder months. The appreciation I have for turtlenecks either comes from how cute I think they are, or how they hide my double chin. (Or as my son likes to call it, my CD slot chin). But this turtle neck wins for me, because it can fold down to create a flirty neckline that not many other turtle neck sweaters offer. I will be accepting any and all invites to outdoor winter festivities this year, just so I can wear this sweater. However, The booties I wore with this should not take a backseat. I would own these in every color. So comfy, so precious, and the fringe detail on the back offers an edgy feel that will have everyone taking a second look!
I AM DYING OVER THIS LOOK! So prim, so preppy, so chic! The color of this sweater cannot be done justice via pictures. Only ownership will allow you to appreciate the uniqueness of this top. I honestly felt like I was waiting my whole life to own a sweater like this when I saw it for the first time. “How many colors does this come in…?” We already know how I feel about turtlenecks, but can we talk about the pearl detail? #class #tasteful But really, this is a special piece that can be dressed up or dressed down, worn in or worn out, with any bottoms you feel fit. I loved the camel colored heels with the bow detail I wore with it to give it a preppy upscale feel, but paired with cute boots or booties… there is no way for a look with this sweater to be incomplete!
I want to give a huge shout out to CasieShoots for taking these photos!!
How great are these outfits?!
I am in love and I hope you are too!
P.S. I am wearing a large in everything!
