NEW YEAR, WHO DIS?

Can we all just put our hands together for the fact that 2016 is DONE!
I mean see ya never - Here is to hoping 2017 is all that we hope it will be!
And honestly, if you are anything like me, basically anything could be better than how this year went.
I have heard a lot of chatter lately about how 2016 just was not "the year" for a lot of people. 
And not just because of all the celebrity deaths or the election or whatever you see in the mainstream media, but also for personal reasons.
For me personally, 2016 has been one of the toughest years of my life so far. But, I learned a lot about myself in this year. Life is a journey NOT a destination.
And that's the thing... There were a lot of good things that did happen in 2016. I promise. To you and to the world.
2016 was just a year where the bad things stood out more.
Sit here right now and think to yourself about the good things that DID happen this year...
I'm sure you can think of a few. Even if it is just the pure fact that you are alive and breathing and reading this blog right now! Hehehe
And now it is time to make your new year resolutions...
I have been thinking a lot about this lately.
I really want to say that I want to work on my diet and exercise... but let's be real, how cliche is that?!
So, my new year resolution this year is just to work on ME!
To depend on my own self for my happiness. We cannot rely on other people to bring us happiness. Also, life is too short to be doing things that you don't enjoy and love. That is a big lesson I learned this year.
Love your job and love your life. If you woke up every morning and did your job without getting paid, would you still go?
HMMMM!
Tough to think about, huh!?
So, whatever your resolution is... be the exception.
What do I mean by that?
Be the person who takes their resolution and KEEPS it!
Don't let go of it after a week, or a year, keep it.
Do it for you.
It's ok to be a little selfish sometimes.
So think about yourself and what is best for you.
After all, the definition of RESOLUTION is a firm decision to do or not to do something.
That is the best advice I have for you...
And honestly I need to listen as well!
